Build wp-comments-notifier on Unix
From the toplevel source dir, run the following commands:
make
make install

You need Qt 4.2 or higher to build wp-comments-notifier,If a packaged version of Qt is not available for your OS (or if you want debug symbols in your Qt libraries), you will need to build and install Qt 4.2 yourself. See the Qt instructions to find out how to do this.

How to enable comment notifier for other blog platform

wp-wordpress-notifier use WordPress XMLRPC API to communicate with the blog server.if you want to use this application with other blog platform,you can simply modify the code,or implement the following XMLRPC API on your blog system:

wp.deleteComment
wp.editComment
wp.newComment
wp.getComments
wp.getComment
wp.getCommentCount

if you find it useful, a time saver,or even just mildly interesting,then my effort was worth it.

Isn’t that causeing a lot of duplicate content? Do i’ve to stop all “?p=x&cp=x#comments” pages from being indexed via .htaccess/robot.txt or is there a switch to mark them “noindex” in robots meta tag? Every click on another comments page is counted as real pageview, right?

Once FastCgi is installed,Config FastCGI extension to work with php:

1. Open a command line window,and change the current directory  to %WINDIR%\system32\inetsrv.
2. Run
   cscript fcgiconfig.js -add -section:"PHP" -extension:php -path:"C:\PHP\php-cgi.exe"

Next,download and install eAccelerator.eAccelerator is a free open-source PHP accelerator, optimizer, and dynamic content cache. After eAccelerator is downloaded:

2. Create a folder (with the appropriate permissions) for the temporary cached files.
   For example: c:\tmp\eaccelerator
3. Add the following to your php.ini (as the first loaded extension):

Because IIS does not support mod_rewrite module for rewriting URLs,the biggest problem hosting wordpress on iis is that you always get an ‘ugly’ and not SEO-friendly index.php in your permalinks.you can install wp_url_rewriting,an open source URL rewriting for wordpress, to resolve this issue.

Installation

1. Upload YAAPC to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
3. (Optional,but recommended) Modify your comments template(comments.php),add a div with id="yaapc-comments" to wrap the comment list area. Place <?php yaapc_pages()?> in where you want the page selector to show.take a look at the example bellow for details.
4. Modify the style.css in YAAPC directory to custimize how YAAPC looks .

hi Dean,i think the problem that i’ve asked you previously is a wordpress 2.5 limitation,without using any plugins, wordpress itself can’t even redirect /%postname%/ to /%category%/%postname%/ .
any comments on that?

I’m woking on new version of Permalinks Migration plugin,trying to find a way to overcome that limitation and fix this issue.but i’m sorry to say,that due to another project, my free time is very limited so progress may be slow.thanks for your understand and help.
